Tutorial 1
Perfecting Clutch Control
The "Find the Bite" Technique
- Step 1Press the clutch all the way down and select first gear.
- Step 2Gently set the gas (bring the revs to about 1500 RPM — think a gentle hum).
- Step 3Slowly raise the clutch until you hear the engine pitch dip slightly and the car wants to move. Hold your foot still right there (the biting point) for 2–3 seconds as you release the handbrake, then gently let the clutch all the way out.

Parallel Parking Made Simple
The 1-2-1 Steering Method
- The SetupPull up parallel to the target car, about a door's width away, matching your rear bumpers.
- Turn 1 (Left)Put it in reverse, do a full 360-degree observation, and steer one full turn to the left as you slowly roll back until your car is at a 45-degree angle.
- Turn 2 (Right)Steer two full turns to the right (straightening and then swinging the front nose in) as you back slowly into the space.
- Turn 3 (Left)Steer one turn left to straighten your wheels once you are parallel to the curb.

Navigating Roundabouts
The "12 O'Clock" Rule
- Turning Left (1st exit)Approach in the left lane, signaling left on approach. Keep the signal on until you exit.
- Going StraightApproach in the left lane (unless road markings say otherwise). Do not signal on approach. Signal left just after you pass the exit before the one you want.
- Turning Right (3rd exit onwards)Approach in the right lane, signaling right on approach. Maintain the signal, then switch to a left signal as you pass the exit just before yours to safely leave the roundabout.
